A long overdue tribute to James Brown and, more importantly, the JB’s, who were actually the true funk pioneers behind the Godfather of Soul. The JB’s line-up varied depending on who James pissed off in pay disputes but notable members include Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, brothers Bootsy and Catfish Collins, Bobby Byrd and John ‘Jabo’ Starks.
